Eye Diseases and Surgeries
The eye is the part of the human body that should be looked after cautiously. As it is an organ that will get weak and more disease prone with age, there should be adequate care and awareness of the eye, the various diseases it is prone to, the treatments and the clinics best for eye care. Anatomy of the Eye: The eye helps us see by letting the light carry into the eye and turning it into an electrical signal which, then, is carried into the brain through optic nerves at the back of the eye. The main parts of the eye are the sclera, cornea, iris, pupil, lens, retina and optic nerves. Each part allows the light to enter the inside of the eye, where the retina and the optic nerves lie. The light is filtered and controlled as it comes in by the front layers of the eye; cornea, iris and pupil. The retina then turns the light into signals, and the optic nerves take it into the brain.
